Once upon a time at my in-law's house, I toasted two slices of white sandwich bread in a toaster, then spread them with pandan kaya. I don't know what's got into me but the toasted bread were so yummy that made me want to toast another two slices more. I ate with passion and full of appetite. And that was when I decided to have one toaster at my own home (I do not have one before, duh~).
I browsed into Google searching for a good toaster for me (to that extent) and suddenly my conscious told me, 'Why don't you redeem one at Bonuslink (I love privilege cards, I have a lot of them)?'. And so I did redeemed it from Bonuslink where it deducted 4200 points from my account (Luckily I have more than enough points at that particular time).
Two weeks later and it landed on my kitchen:

I wanna Marry POMEGRANATE!!!
Sejak dua menjak ni, cik abby suka betol makan buah delima a.k.a pomegranate. Rasa die manis, walaupun banyak biji, tapi ada banyak jus. Kalau nak makan buah delima ni, kene prepare piring kosong kat tepi, untuk buang biji. Huhu..
Sekarang ni kat Malaysia memang tengah musim delima. Pegi la kat supermarket, even pasar malam pun ada. Last months cik abby beli kat Econsave harga die RM1.99/pc. Last week kat pasar malam ada pakcik tu jual RM2/pc, cik abby beli 4. Nasib baik tak beli kat ada satu brader ni. Dia kata selonggok 5 bijik RM10, tapi beli satu-satu RM3/biji. Mangkuk hayun betol. This week harga turun, kat gerai pakcik minggu lepas, 3 bijik RM5. Ape lagi, borong la 6 bijik terus. Baru sepuloh hinggit. Stok sampai pasar malam minggu depan pulak. Tapi kalau kat Shah Alam, pernah cik abby pegi kat pasar malam Seksyen 6 die bulan lepas, RM6 sebijik.
Buah delima ni adalah salah satu good example from Al-Quran. Ini bermakna khasiatnya memang excellent. Mestilah kan, kalu tak, takkan tumbuh dalam syurga. Hebat-hebat..
Apa tunggu lagi, jom makan buah delima sementara masih banyak dijual di pasar malam. Huhu..

Buah delima ni adalah salah satu good example from Al-Quran. Ini bermakna khasiatnya memang excellent. Mestilah kan, kalu tak, takkan tumbuh dalam syurga. Hebat-hebat..
Apa tunggu lagi, jom makan buah delima sementara masih banyak dijual di pasar malam. Huhu..

Mood Brooch for this Monsoon Season
Experiencing the monsoon season at this end of the year can make anybody being moody. And thanks to the tengkujuh season, I was tempted to design these 3-serangkai brooches for your everyday use. Well, these rain-cloud brooches can indicate your mood on such day too..
Put on Sunshine brooch when you are happy and feeling awesome! While you're upset, don't be, just let the Raining brooch tells it all. But when you are in a grumpy mode, the Lightning brooch is perfect for you. 'Don't mess with me!', it might says..
The close-ups please...

Can't get enough of it? There's more..
Not in any of the above mood? You can wear it whenever you feels like it!!

This cute soft toy I made originally for Balqis to play. Here is the close ups:
Find it adorable? You can have one too, I can make it upon orders (of course with a small fee). Hehe..

Chilly Crab
Yesterday I went to pasar malam. Sekali terpandang ketam la pulak, terliur bile teringatkan chilly crab. Last-last, beli 3 ekor, RM20.. Current price RM22/kg. Ketam memang la mahal sikit, tapi sesekali tu boleh la. Penah sekali pegi makan blackpepper chilly crab kat restoran, sekali die charge RM70 untuk sekor. Betol-betol punya telan air liur. Hahaha.. Masak sendiri lagi save & sedap.
Pastu dah boleh la angkat dan hidang. Nak nampak cantek, buleh la tabur sikit daun bawang.
Bukan nak cakap besar la kan, tapi cuba dulu baru tau sedap ke tak. Huhu..
Jom masak Chilly crab!!
Ingredients:
Lada kering 2 genggam & 2 ulas garlic (blender)
3 ekor ketam
Sos ikan
Serbuk kunyit
Garam & gula
2 biji telur

2) Goreng beliau hingga garing. Ketepikan. |
3) Guna minyak ketam tadi dan tumis bahan blender hingga garing |
4) Dah garing, tambah sesudu besar sos ikan, garam dan gula |
5) Bila rasa dah umphh, masukkan ketam yang dah digoreng tadi. Gaul rata |
6) Masukkan telur ketam (jika ada) |
7) Pecahkan telur 2 bijik dan biar hingga separuh masak, baru lah gaul rata sampai telur tu masak sepenuhnya |
Pastu dah boleh la angkat dan hidang. Nak nampak cantek, buleh la tabur sikit daun bawang.
Bukan nak cakap besar la kan, tapi cuba dulu baru tau sedap ke tak. Huhu..

Mini Soft Toys: Vegetables
Harapan seorang bapa untuk anaknye apabila besar nanti - menjadi seorang chef (sebab die x dapat jadik, suruh anak die pulak). Huhu.. So, the first step is kene la ajar die main masak-masak kan.. That's why I made those mini soft veges for her.
Ada 10 jenis sayur yang cik abby buat:
(From left) Carrot, radish (lobak putih), chilly, brinjal, tomato, cabbage, potato, yellow pepper, sweet pea and mushroom.
This is one of the way for my little girl to learn to eat vegetables too (walaupun ibu die x suka sangat sayur). Hehe.. Teringat zaman kecik-kecik dulu main masak-masak. I missed those times..

Pulau Pangkor 9-10 November 2011
Pas gi Cameron Highlands, cik abby terus shoot gi Pulau Pangkor, with cik suami and Balqis. Dulu time zaman universiti dulu, gi Lumut aje (pegi training Palapes Laut kat pengkalan TLDM), tapi x berkesempatan gi Pangkor. Baru sekarang ni pegi, setelah 3 tahun meninggalkan zaman kampus. Ewah..
Cik abby park kete kat tempat letak kete bertingkat, ala dekat jek ngan jeti Lumut. Murah, RM6.90/hari. Then jalan kaki sikit gi jeti, kiri kanan banyak kedai jual dried seafood, souvenirs, restoran etc. Hehe..
We stayed at Puteri Bayu Beach Resort, situated at Pantai Pasir Bogak. Naik van teksi dari jeti 5 min jek dah sampai, jauhnye dalam 3km, tapi tambang die RM10. Mak oiiii!!
Pas lepak-lepak, petang tu jalan-jalan area Puteri Bayu, then amik van teksi pegi Teluk Nipah. Balqis trauma naik van teksi ni. Nangis cam hape, tanak naik teksi. Agaknye sebab van dah sezen, bunyi pun macam motobot. Huhu..
Kata orang Teluk Nipah ni ramai melayu, chalet pun murah, banyak tempat makan, tu yang pegi sana tu. So, kami dinner la kat sana, makan ikan bakar. Tapi harga die mahal sikit. Nasi goreng yang rasa kuali tu RM7.90 sepinggan. Hmmm tak baik la pulak kan ungkit-ungkit pasal harga bende yang kite makan, tapi memang tak patut harga die, ish ish ish *geleng kepala*.
Hehe.. Kalu kat KL ni, kene bayar pegi Birdpark nun nak tengok burung enggan punya pasal..
Besoknye pagi-pagi pas breakfast, cik abby bawak my little girl pegi mandi laut kat Pantai Pasir Bogak. Air die tak keruh dan tak jernih. Haaa camane tu?? Hahaha..
Balqis punya swimsuit banyak masuk pasir. Berketul-ketul. Pastu bawak die bilas badan kat shower resort, then sambung mandi kat pool pulak. Sementara nak tunggu check-out hotel, Balqis tertido kepenatan. Amik ko!
Sebelum balik, cik abby borong ikan bilis, udang kering ngan assorted seafood cikedis kat Pangkor town sebelah jeti. Mana boleh balik tanpa beli ikan kering beb. Premium grade kat sini..
Last but not least, selamat bercuti!!!

Cameron Highlands 8-9 November 2011
Bergambar kenangan dalam apartment |
Perjalanan pegi Cameron kitorang lalu ikut Tapah. Tapi best lalu sini sebab takyah pasang aircond kete. Bukak tingkap sikit, angin die sepoi-sepoi gitu.. Kat tepi jalan ramai orang asli jual madu, rebung, pokok tanduk rusa pun ada. Len kali datang buleh beli pokok tanduk rusa tu. Mesti cun letak kat cik abby punye secret garden. Hehee..
I like the climate the most. Masa pegi first time dulu (2008), tak la sejuk sangat, peluh gak ketiak. Tapi second time ni sejuk die sampai ke tulang. Agaknye lemak sikit, tu yang cepat jek rasa sejuk tu. Huhu.. Apartment tu takyah pasang aircond, terbayang-bayang, alangkah bestnye kalu kat KL cuaca camni selalu..
Pas check-in, kitorang gi visit Cameron Valley Tea Plantation. Mana sah gi Cameron kalu tak ke ladang teh beb. Ada jugak Boh Tea Plantation, tapi oleh sebab nak beli teh strawberry punya pasal, pegi la kat Cameron Valley ni..
Jalan-jalan kat ladang teh |
Pekene teh oren ngan aiskrim Magnum |
Petang tu, pegi Cactus Point pulak, usha pokok yang cantik-cantik, comel-comel. Cik abby borong 6 pokok + 6 cactus. Memula tanak beli cactus pun, tapi geram sebab comel. Akhirnye beli jugak 6 pasu RM10.
Cactus Point |
Malam tu kitorang layan steamboat kat Restoran Ferm Nyonya. Satu kepala RM15. Sedap and a very happening place. Pas makan cik abby ngan cik suami gi jalan-jalan tengok souvenir, jalan kaki jek sebab tak jauh dari apartment. Tanah Rata tu kire macam pekan la..
Keesokan harinya pas sarapan, kitorang pegi Multicrops Central Market, singgah jap beli ole-ole. Kat sini ada jugak jual pokok, strawberry stuffs, and tea.
Kedai jual pokok @Multicrops Central Market cantik gile, cam dalam taman |
Pastu pegi Kea Farm, beli buah oren, persimmon, sayur, and of course la strawberry kan..
After that we went to Raju's Hill Strawberry Farm sambil makan aiskrim strawberry, jus strawberry, sume strawberry lah..
All about strawberries |
Sweet memories @Cameron Highlands |
Time balik, instead of Tapah, kitorang lalu Simpang Pulai, jalan lagi lebar and safety wise, I recommend this route.
Akhir kata, Cameron Highland memang best. There will be 3rd and 4th time for me visiting there.. I like!!

A Case for your Stationery
This is it. This is the pencil case I'm talking about. A dimensions of 20 x 12 cm, big enough to store more than 10 pens, 2 highlighters, an eraser, a marker and a stapler.
As usual, geometry motives for my husband, I chose circles to represents the earth (I know, I know earth is sphere), and I did it in a colorful way, hence the fancy look. A green background is dedicated to our source of oxygen, the refreshing trees and forests.
I think it is really worth it to stitch those 20 colorful circles (what a relieve!), because it ended up very nice, indeed (puji diri sendiri). Hehe..
Well, sharing is caring!

I Shop with Reusable Bags!!
Today's Saturday. No plastic bags day. And I like it!
It started three years ago when I was working at a Japan retail company where the top management decided not to give plastic bags to their staffs upon any purchases. They encourage the staffs to use reusable bags and since then, I am getting the hang of it.
I won't leave home without my green bags (although it is not Saturday). I will cramped all those bags into my super duper backpack, at least the petit foldable ones. I even brought them to pasar malam (where all plastics bags are freely been given).
I'm an eco-chic housewife. Do you eco too?
It is not too late to preserve our mother earth. Cam orang tua-tua selalu cakap, 'Better late than never'...
Got the message??!

Recycle: Coconut Shell as Hanging Plant Pot
Materials yang digunakan adalah seperti berikut:
S-hook tu beli kat Ikea, brand Bygel RM 1.60/10pcs. Murah je. Hemp twine tu lebih kurang macam tali jut la, beli kat Daiso @Curve, RM 5.00/3pcs. Daiso tu sume barang RM5, ada kat IOI Mall, Curve, One Utama, Aeon Bukit Indah JB. Tempurung kelapa tu pulak buat muka tempe mintak kat brader jual santan kat pasar. Die lagi suka sebab kurang sikit tempurung die kene buang. Hehehe.. Gunting potong ikan tu cik abby amik kat dapur.
Jom start!! Kalu tulisan kecik sangat, click image to enlarge.
Kalu hati nak, senang jek. Kejap dah jadi.
Kalu nak buat, tempurung kelapa tu bersihkan dulu guna sabun untuk hilangkan bau kelapa, allow to dry for 1-2 days.
Buat pasu guna tempurung kelapa,
Selamat mencuba!!
