Ribbons on my Shoes!

Kosong.. kosong.. oh oh!! (Bak kata Najwa Latif).

Beli kasut satin hijau ni kat JPO, kosong sangat la pulak. So tangan ni mulalah menggatal nak deko deko.. 

Buat malam raya hari tu, tetibe jek sekelip mata dah ada kasut raya baru. Huhu.. It only took me half an hour to make this pair of ribbon - free handed cutting, a little bit of glue here and there, no sew design and as a result:

Black felt ribbon that matches the lining, plus a short lace and a big green bead for each shoe.

My Secret Garden

Cik abby memang suka cucuk tanam, tapi apakan daya, rumah apartment so tanam dalam pasu jek la. Walaupun balcony cuma selebar 2 kaki, tetap ku gagahkan jua tanam apa yang patut. Nampak la hijau sikit kan, sejuk mata memandang..

Yang paling penting, kene tanam herbs seperti berikut:

Pokok lada - biji benih die ambil dari biji lada kering. 

Daun limau purut - ni beli kat pasar tani Temerloh. Jauh tu.. Penting untuk masak tomyam

Mint leaf a.k.a Daun pudina - Beli kat Cameron Highlands satu pasu, pastu semai kat pasu lain, sekarang dah ada 3 pasu. Buat ginger ale letak daun pudina sket, memang sedap!!

Daun pandan - my mama bagi, import dari Joho. Senang sikit nak buat nasi lemak..

Daun parsley - Pun beli kat Cameron Highlands. Garnishing for pasta.

Pokok kari - Takde daun kari, tak jadik la lauk kari..

Pokok serai ngan daun bawang pun cik abby ada tanam, tapi diorang takde dalam gambo. Hehe.. Nanti nak tanam pokok kunyit pulak. Ada gak cik abby tanam pokok hiasan, nak tambah cantek lagi secert garden cik abby ni kononnya..

Pokok apa ntah, tapi yang hujung tu bonzai ok!

Pokok ni suami cik abby yang pilih time kat Cameron Highlands. Daun die bergulung, bunga macam loceng. Cantik.

Bulan lepas cik abby ada buat pasu tempurung kelapa, haaa, ni lah die hasilnya bila digantung:

Baru lah nampak tradisional sikit ada tempurung kelapa kat balcony. Huhu.. Semua pokok-pokok ni diberi makan baja tahi ayam, dan dimandikan 3 kali seminggu. 


Sebenonye, takde alasan utuk tidak bercucuk tanam walaupun dok kat rumah pangsa ke, kondo ke, apartment ke, apatah lagi rumah landed.

A Case for your Stationery

This is it. This is the pencil case I'm talking about. A dimensions of 20 x 12 cm, big enough to store more than 10 pens, 2 highlighters, an eraser, a marker and a stapler. 


As usual, geometry motives for my husband, I chose circles to represents the earth (I know, I know earth is sphere), and I did it in a colorful way, hence the fancy look. A green background is dedicated to our source of oxygen, the refreshing trees and forests. 

I think it is really worth it to stitch those 20 colorful circles (what a relieve!), because it ended up very nice, indeed (puji diri sendiri). Hehe..

I Shop with Reusable Bags!!

Today's Saturday. No plastic bags day. And I like it! 


It started three years ago when I was working at a Japan retail company where the top management decided not to give plastic bags to their staffs upon any purchases. They encourage the staffs to use reusable bags and since then, I am getting the hang of it.

I won't leave home without my green bags (although it is not Saturday). I will cramped all those bags into my super duper backpack, at least the petit foldable ones. I even brought them to pasar malam (where all plastics bags are freely been given). 

I'm an eco-chic housewife. Do you eco too? 


It is not too late to preserve our mother earth. Cam orang tua-tua selalu cakap, 'Better late than never'...
